Yorkshire firm, RJC Plant Services Ltd has marked their 10 year anniversary with the release of a naked calendar to raise funds for Melanoma UK.
The Church Fenton based grab hire and road sweeper company are raising funds for the charity following the recent diagnosis of a friend of the firm. Skin cancer is a serious issue especially for men who work in the construction industry, with the sector making up 44% of the "vocational" skin cancer deaths per year in the UK.
Co-Owner, Chris Jackson said: “Giving back is one of our core business values, and for the past decade we’ve enjoyed giving back to many organisations and charities in our local community. Helping those in need and recognising hidden heroes is something we’ve continued to do whenever possible. As it was our 10th business anniversary we decided to do something a little out of the ordinary and out of our comfort zone to mark the special occasion – and a naked charity calendar seemed the perfect idea.”
The calendar includes black and white images of 11 team members captured at RJC HQ in Church Fenton, alongside facts on the disease and important calendar dates.

It serves as a crucial reminder of the importance of protecting our skin during extended periods outdoors, especially for those working in industries with high sun exposure. Wearing appropriate clothing, hats, and using high SPF sunscreen are vital steps we can all take to safeguard our health."
Co-Owner, John Harrison added: “There’s been a lot of laughter, a few blushes, and plenty of camaraderie as we’ve prepared for the photo shoot. We hope to raise both awareness and funds to support research and help those affected by the disease, and what better way to do it than with a bit of humour and a lot of heart?”
