The brand-new John Deere 6M tractor range is one of the major stars of Ripon Farm Services’ popular two-day New Year Show.

The show, one of the UK’s leading agricultural machinery displays, is being held in the Yorkshire Event Centre at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate on Wednesday January 22 and Thursday January 23 from 10.00am to 4.30pm.

The new John Deere 6M range will be unveiled to farmers at the show. The state-of-the-art tractor features higher standards of comfort, performance, manoeuvrability and visibility.

Richard Simpson, the CEO of Ripon Farm Services, commented: “This is the first dealer event where this new model is on show. The 6M tractor series now offers 17 models in total, providing even more choice for farmers looking for high-performing tractors with little handling complexity.

“We can’t wait to welcome our customers to what promises to be a very busy event. There’s no doubt that the recent Budget has shocked the farming community across the UK and there are serious challenges ahead, but the agricultural sector is nothing if not resilient and our show will support farmers in finding solutions to these challenges.

“For example, we are featuring the latest innovations from our Technology Team to help our customers reduce input costs and improve profitability through more efficient production.”

Richard stressed that as many people as possible should pre-register for the event to avoid queues in the foyer upon arrival.

“We had a very good response from this initiative last year, but we'd like to improve it again this year. It’s quick and easy to pre-register on the Eventbrite website. Enjoy faster check-in and a smoother entry experience on the day.”

There will be a number of other John Deere stars at the show, including the new 300M self-propelled sprayer, the new John Deere T6 combine and the John Deere XUV 875 Gator.

The Ripon Technology team will take centre stage in the main machinery hall, showcasing the latest in John Deere Precision Technology for both the turf and agricultural markets. They will be joined by the Connected Support team who will explain the advantages of John Deere Connected Support - a support system that uses machine connectivity, innovative tools and proactive dealer support to monitor customers machines, notify them of any potential issues and make sure they are running at peak performance all season at the lowest possible cost.

Hall 2 will be showcasing Ripon’s ground care, service and parts offerings. There will be a wide range of suppliers there selling attachments, accessories, merchandise, toys and clothing (including well-known brands like Milwaukee).

There will also be an on-line auction at the show.

Richard explained: “We have started hosting monthly online auctions, starting on the second Monday of each month, but we have decided to run the January auction across the show dates - it will start on the first day of the show and end the following Monday (January 27).

“Some of the machinery that is available in the auction will be in the Auction Zone outside of the event centre, along with some other key pieces of our quality used machinery. Please do have a look around the machinery outside and get involved with the auction.”

Finally, it’s important to note that food and refreshments are available at the event. Ripon are subsidising some of the cost but please note that the catering outlet operates a cashless system – card and digital payments only.

Entry is free and there is ample parking.
