Recognise someone who's excelled this year

Applications have now opened for two popular Awards – The Kathy Woodward Award for Learning and the Victor Watson Trophy.

The Kathy Woodward Award for Learning
Launched in 2015 in memory of the BPIF’s much loved CEO Kathy Woodward, who sadly passed away in 2014, the £1,000 Award, sponsored by Webmart, supports individuals in the print, packaging and graphic design industries to further their careers. Last year’s Award went to Rebekah Selwood-Starr from Berkshire Labels.

To apply for the £1,000 Award, applicants need to submit a 500-word proposal on why they believe they should win the Award, and how they would spend the money to further their careers in the print, packaging or graphic design industries. All applications for the Kathy Woodward Award should be made online at www.britishprint.com/kathywoodward.

The closing deadline for applications is on Thursday 22 June 2023.

The Victor Watson Trophy
Now in its eighth year, this Award was launched in memory of Victor Watson CBE DL to recognise a Young Person of Outstanding Achievement. It is open to any young person under the age of 31 at the time of the presentation, who is employed in the printing industry. This includes the printing supply chain, from journalism through to all aspects of printing and allied trades such as printing, publishing, manufacturing or operating presses, driving, cleaning, advertising, photography, graphic arts, making ink and recycling paper.

The nominator and nominee do not have to be associated with any particular organisation. The recipient of the trophy will be encouraged to apply for a Printing Charity bursary of £1,500.

Last year, the Victor Watson Trophy went to Ethan Hull from Northend.
Why not give someone the recognition that they deserve by nominating them to win this fantastic Award?
