Radcliffe Construction, the Huddersfield-based construction project management firm, has been appointed by glazing specialist Halifax Glass to deliver a warehouse extension at its headquarters to fuel business growth.

The 2,615 square foot extension will create more space for Halifax Glass to extend its existing internal crane while also allowing for the installation of new equipment to increase the firm's manufacturing output.

John Verrier, director at Radcliffe Construction, said:"Following a tender process we're pleased to have been selected by GHP Architects to deliver this project for Halifax Glass and give them the space required to improve their current facilities in line with business growth.

"We are working with Comms Commercial and Firth Steels in Brighouse, who between them will supply and install the fully warranted Protex twin-skin cladding system. We are also providing mechanical and electrical services along with a large concrete retaining structure to support the different levels in the building, as well as external works to improve access and egress to the unit and new glazed windows to the gable end."

Steve Bell, architect at GHP Architects said: "We were impressed by Radcliffe Construction's expertise and approach to the project during the tender process.

"Ensuring the warehouse extension build doesn't interrupt daily manufacturing on-site is a main priority for the client, and the Radcliffe Construction team demonstrated their approach to ensuring the project will be delivered on time and on budget while maintaining business as usual.

"We look forward to working with them to deliver this project that will futureproof manufacturing capability for Halifax Glass as the company continues to grow."
