Promising outlook for website maintenance services in 2021

SaaS firm Glow has predicted that 2021 is set to be the year when the true importance of website maintenance is recognised after a spike in demand for its web-based maintenance app.

The Leeds-based startup reported that interest in its new to market app has grown significantly as more and more businesses strive for digital growth.

In quarters three and four alone, over 40 end users and 15 resellers signed up to benefit from specialist WordPress maintenance support through Glow.

The strength of the brand and the demand for its app and related services means the firm can look to begin its first round of investment sourcing in 2021.

Launched in May 2020, Glow is a multi-functional app designed to streamline the processes involved with website maintenance and transform perceptions of how important it is to keep websites up to date, efficient and secure.

It is one of only a handful of website maintenance apps available globally and the first of its kind in the UK to offer a built-in support ticket system and mini-CRM functionality.

Its full suite of website maintenance tools includes backup functionality, uptime monitoring, high-level security, quick, hassle-free updates to the WordPress core, themes and plugins, as well as custom development work such as new pages, content uploads and fixes.

Leeds tech entrepreneur and founder of Glow, Phil Storey said: We’ve come really far in the space of a few months and I’m immensely proud of the team.”

“To be sat at the end of the year with our own app, live in the market, attracting sign ups and some very well respected marketing agencies is so cool! We’re learning every day and are well excited for 2021!”

Glow is available to SME owners with WordPress websites, as well as web development companies and marketing agencies as a white label reseller product to enable them to provide an added value service to their clients.

Some of Yorkshire’s most renowned agencies became resellers in 2020, including Saltaire-based digital agency Xpand and Leeds-based fully integrated digital marketing agency Trio Media.

Claire Daniels CEO of Trio media said: “We outsource the support and maintenance of several of our client's WordPress websites to Glow. Since signing up, their service has been invaluable to us and it's now something we upsell with all new websites.

“The team is very knowledgeable at what they do and very responsive. Highly recommend this service.”

Jag Panesar, director of Xpand said: “We have been using Glow for a number of our websites over the past 6 months. The service has been amazing!

“The initial set up was easy, logging a task is a piece of cake and everything we ask for is done with time to spare. What's more, Glow has gone above and beyond our expectations and delivered service beyond what we were expecting. If you have a website, you need Glow in your life.”
