Pegasus Textiles gears up for Christmas
Pegasus Textiles, one of the jewels in the crown of flourishing Leeds-based company Pegasus World, is preparing for a busy and successful Christmas season
The company, based at Curo House, a 71,000 sq ft state-of-the-art office and warehouse building at Logic Leeds Business Park by Junction 45 of the M1, specialises in manufacturing and distributing quality textiles for the hospitality industry.
Hussein Kahil, general manager of Pegasus World, commented: “Christmas is just around the corner and companies across the UK are already making plans for the festive season. We are no exception. As suppliers of textiles to the hospitality industry at the busiest time of their year, we have to ensure that we are at the top of our game. This year we are more prepared than ever and it is essential that we meet, and surpass, the needs of our customers.
“That is why we have streamlined our process so that our customers won't need to worry about stock commitments or forecasts any longer. We have ended the frustrating and time-consuming cycle of submitting stock commitments and forecasts. At Pegasus, we understand that frustration and are offering a seamless solution.
“So, as December draws near and the hospitality industry moves into overdrive, we have planned ahead. We have secured an additional 25 large containers with essential holiday products such as tablecloths, kitchen linens and towels which are all set to arrive between later this month and in early November.
“Thanks to our forensic understanding of our needs of our customers and decades of expertise in stock management, our proactive planning means our shelves are fully stocked, allowing our customers to concentrate on what truly matters: providing an excellent service and capitalising on the holiday buzz.
“We have a very simple and positive message to all our customers: Rest assured that we've got your back this festive season, and together, let's make it the most successful one yet.”
The company has recently invested in brand-new, state-of-the-art towelling manufacturing premises in Nantong in the south-east of the province of Jiangsu. The smart new multi-million pound premises, with dedicated employees, will enable it to continue its rapid expansion programme, working very closely with the UK’s largest laundries.
Earlier this year Pegasus World, the parent company of Pegasus Textiles, announced a significant increase in turnover, which was resounding endorsement of the company’s direction of travel and a wonderful reflection on the hard work and commitment of its employees.
Since its inception in 2006, Pegasus has been a stalwart in sourcing top-tier textiles, medical, and hygiene products from global manufacturers. The operational backbone of the business showcases an intricate network of quality control, ensuring that goods are “meticulously vetted and delivered with precision”.
Hussein Kahil continued: “The global business is built on these foundational pillars. Our commitment to positive impacts on our customers and suppliers, fostering healthy and empowering relationships. Our passion and aspiration have propelled us from modest beginnings to a powerhouse of global influence, ceaselessly pursuing innovation. We envisage a brighter future where business ethics and social responsibility intersect, crafting our role in nurturing a world that thrives tomorrow.”
One of the company’s key objectives moving forward is to donate generously to charity.
Apart from giving £4,000 to the Harrogate-based mental health charity Wellspring, Pegasus is delighted to have chosen the Leeds United Foundation as its new charity partner. The Foundation is the charity of Leeds United Football Club.
The Foundation’s mission is to use the power of football to enhance the lives of people across the Yorkshire region through opportunities in sport, education and healthier lifestyles.
Hussein added: “The Foundation is built on partnership, trust and positivity, three values which we hold dear. We look forward to a long and productive partnership with a charity that makes a real difference in people’s lives in Yorkshire.”
