The team at a North Yorkshire rapeseed oil business is celebrating after winning a contract to supply another of its bread dippers to an independent family owned supermarket group.

Thixendale based Charlie & Ivy's has secured the listings for its new White Balsamic, Tarragon and White Peppercorn bread dipper in 21 branches of Booths supermarkets that are dubbed the Waitrose of the north.

Of the new business, Charlie & Ivy's co-founder, Adam Palmer said: "We developed the Charlie & Ivy's brand for informal entertaining with friends and the versatile dippers are fabulous simply with crusty bread and amazing drizzled over salads, pastas or pizza.

"Booths aim is to sell the best food and drink available, in attractive stores, staffed with first class assistants. Since 1847, they have worked closely with local suppliers from Lancashire, Cheshire, Cumbria and of course, Yorkshire.

"We were delighted when Booths started selling four Charlie & Ivy's Bread Dippers last spring, and we are excited that they have added to the range with the White Balsamic, Tarragon and White Peppercorn Dipper."

The dipper was awarded a coveted gold star in the Guild of Fine Food's Great Taste awards 2020, with the judges saying: "As a bread dipping oil it is well balanced and flavoursome; we can also imagine it drizzled over salads and other dishes too. Perhaps even poured over your Sunday roast chicken! There are many uses for this oil. Delicious."

White Balsamic, Tarragon and White Peppercorn dipper is suitable for vegetarians and vegans. It is also gluten and GM free.

The rest of the Charlie & Ivy's range that comprises dressings and mayonnaise is available nationwide through independent stores and online retailers.

Charlie & Ivy's was established in 2014 by Adam and Jennie Palmer on their farm in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds. They produce a range of oils, dressings and mayonnaise based on their award-winning rapeseed oil that is produced using rapeseed that is pressed, blended, bottled and labelled on the family farm.
