On Saturday 21st September, Nomadic Beers will be hosting an Open Taproom at their brewery in Sheepscar, Leeds, to celebrate local Leeds-based artist, Christine Jopling.
“Christine is an absolutely fantastic artist and she has been heavily involved with Nomadic Beers since we launched” said Brewery Owner Katie Marriott. “She has a unique style that really stands out.
“Christine came up with the design for our logo, which is a Norse compass, and is responsible for the wonderful artwork we have in the brewery.
“Earlier this year we unveiled a mural that Christine painted; everyone who visits the brewery loves it. Because of her great artwork, we thought we’d use our September Open Taproom to celebrate Christine and her work.
“What can I say?” said Christine. “I am extremely honoured that the people at Nomadic Beers, who have allowed me to paint their walls, deface their furniture and doodle in their toilets, are letting me in the brewery again!”
Christine has had her artwork displayed across Leeds, including in North Bar and Wapentake. She has designed logos for local events such as Leeds Beer Festival and Keighley and Worth Valley Railway Beer Festival. Nationally, she has previously designed the logo for CAMRA’s Great British Beer Festival.
It promises to be a fun day, with Nomadic Beers providing beer, cider, wines and spirits. Food will be on offer from Horsebox Pizza Company. There will also be hand and neck massages from another of Christine’s clients, Max from Bankhouse Beauty Cabin. Children and dogs are welcome.
As always, Nomadic Beers will be using the event to support St Gemma’s Hospice, with donation boxes around the brewery.
Nomadic Beers’ September Open Taproom will run from 12-8pm (ish) on Saturday 21st September, in the brewery at Unit 11 Sheepscar House, 15 Sheepscar Street, Leeds, LS7 1AD.
The Brewery is in the same yard as Enterprise vehicle rentals, a 15-minute walk from Leeds City Centre and just 3 minutes away from nearby North Brewing Co’s brewery tap room. The brewery is fully accessible.
