Leeds based virtualDCS has appointed Jonathan Bunney as business development manager, as part of the cloud computing and disaster recovery specialist’s latest phase of recruitment.
Jonathan brings a wealth of experience to the role after working in IT for over 25 years. His focus will primarily be on continuing to grow virtualDCS’s CloudCover Disaster Recovery suite and cloud hosting offerings, including the rapidly growing Microsoft 365 backup solution, CloudCover 365.
Jonathan’s appointment follows Kerri Milburn joining the team as a project delivery specialist. In addition to assisting the sales team with new business, Kerri is also responsible for running and coordinating a range of internal and external projects. Kerri, from Coventry, is virtualDCS’s first new employee working under the company’s new hybrid-work from home initiative, following the Covid pandemic.
As part of its ongoing expansion, virtualDCS, which now employs a 16-strong team, is now planning to recruit an Azure solutions architect and a modern workplace technical specialist, alongside several other key appointments across the company.
Jonathan said: “I’m thrilled to join virtualDCS at such an exciting time, when cloud and hosted services are big on everyone’s agenda. virtualDCS has a compelling offering with a range of innovative solutions that meet the needs of businesses of all shapes and sizes, which made this role extremely attractive.”
Richard May, managing director said: “virtualDCS has been fortunate during the pandemic to still be in a position of growth, and we are excited to see what the next few months have in store as we actively recruit for both sales and technical roles.
“Kerri has already had a fantastic impact on the company and Jonathan’s skillset and proactive approach to sales and customer growth meant he was a perfect fit for us. I’m delighted to welcome them both to the team.”
