MWA support Shepley spring expansion
Martin Walsh Architectural (MWA), the Dewsbury based Architects, has completed a £1m contract for Shepley Spring, one of the UK’s largest water bottling contractors, delivering a warehouse extension, new build warehouse and engineering workshop at its current facility based in Kirkburton, West Yorkshire.
Appointed as Architects, MWA successfully obtained planning permission and oversaw all work including the erection of a new 1570m2 warehouse; a 70m2 engineers’ workshop and a 400m2 warehouse extension.
An integral part of the brand’s operations moving forward, the warehouse extension has provided Shepley Spring with the extra storage space needed to cater for increased demand; it has also been designed to future proof the business by accommodating and supporting the installation of new machinery that will enhance the company’s environmental credentials.
Matt Robinson, Director at Martin Walsh Architectural, comments: “This has been an exciting project that has evolved significantly during our development. It’s not just a simple extension, but one that has been designed to house specialist equipment. As a result it is successfully supporting the client needs now and importantly it is ready to accommodate the business in the future.”
Charles Smith, Operations Director, comments: “Our warehouse extension and new warehouse facility within our yard are already proving to be a success, offering us much-needed space.”
