Modo25 invests £2m in new MarTech platform and unveils new office

Leeds-based digital marketing agency, Modo25 has unveiled its new digital marketing intelligence platform BOSCO™ and office space at a ribbon-cutting event that was attended by Andrea Jenkyns MP.

The agency has invested seven figures into BOSCO™, which enables retailers to use complex AI and machine learning to grow their profits. The SaaS platform connects all a business’s internal marketing and sales data with extensive algorithmic modelling to predict which channels are the best to invest in for future success.

BOSCO™ has an easy-to-use interface and reports that enable marketers to make informed digital marketing spend decisions using its data-driven insights. Allowing businesses to get better value from every pound spent on marketing and predict where to spend the next pound.

The impressive seven-figure investment in BOSCO™ has been supported by several angel investors, including Bonamy Grimes founder of Skyscanner, Richard Flint former CEO of Skybet, Rob Hamilton founder of Instant Offices and Pavers Shoes – who is a Modo25 client and now has invested in the agency to support the development of BOSCO™

BOSCO™ has been developed by a team of leading e-commerce practitioners, global digital marketing specialists and some of the most experienced data scientists in the world. The team is being spearheaded by associate director of product Emily Hakner, chief technology officer Zdnenek Burda and principal data scientist Dr James McKeone.

Clients that are already utilising BOSCO™ include Pavers Shoes, Castore, Sigma Sports and Ski Solutions. BOSCO™ is also utilised by global digital marketing agencies in the UK and USA so that they can provide better reporting and predictions for their clients.

Alongside Andrea Jenkyns MP, chief executive of Leeds City Council Tom Riordan spoke at the event and shared insight on the emerging technology and start-up sector in Leeds and Stuart Paver, managing director of Pavers Shoes spoke about the importance of charity in business.

In addition to launching BOSCO™, the event allowed Modo25 to officially showcase its new offices at One Embankment in Leeds. Following the agency’s recent growth, the space will allow Modo25 to continue to grow the team and offer a flexible working hub for the team and clients.

Discussing BOSCO™ and the office launch, John Readman chief executive officer of Modo25 said: “In the past online advertising was a sea of pain points - with too many disparate contradictory sources of data.

“Online retailers needed a toolset that eliminates both the complexity of online media and the confusion caused by competition between the different options. By investing in and creating a unified dashboard that combines all the data required to predict future online performance, then BOSCO™ solves that problem.”

“At Modo25 we work a four-day week and offer a hybrid approach to the whole team, where the team can choose how often they work from home or the office.

“With that and our continued growth, the agency needed a bigger space. Our new office offers all of this. City centre location, collaborative working spaces and state-of-the-art meeting rooms. We already feel at home and can't wait to carry on scaling Modo25."

Minister for Skills, Further and Higher Education Andrea Jenkyns added: “Leeds has such a proud history of business innovation, and it was fantastic to attend the launch of Modo25’s BOSCO platform in the city where I’m an MP.

“Through investment like this and our ambitious skills agenda, backing learners and workers to get the digital, marketing and other skills which employers need, we are levelling up the entire country and creating opportunity for all.”

Modo25 is a global, supported in-housing and marketing technology provider. Its client list includes Sigma Sports, Castore, Baukjen, Pavers Shoes and Millbry Hill.

BOSCO™ is a machine learning platform that helps retailers and businesses measure the success of their organic and paid media channels when compared to their competitors.
