Lockdown shows demand for online productivity tools
Yorkshire based Web Development Agency, Beanie Media, has reported a significant increase in demand for bespoke website’s that increases business productivity.
Since lockdown began in March 2020, the firm has developed multiple technical solutions, including online quoting systems, HR Software and Recruitment systems that decrease paperwork.
Headed by digital enthusiast and entrepreneur Melissa Roberts, Beanie Media works with a roster of Yorkshire-based firms including Kiwi EV Charging, Care Angels, Streetbikes CIC and Woodley BioReg
Most recently, they have developed a website for EV Charging Point experts, Kiwi EV, which allows users to pick the make and model of their car, and then gives a bespoke installation quote, before allowing the user to pick their installation date and pay their 30% deposit.
The quote generator sends the quote directly to WooCommerce where the booking is completed, using a secure payment system. The system also offers customisable time slots for bookings, allowing the client to manage their schedule efficiently. The customer can pick a time slot of their choice after paying a deposit.
The new website means that Kiwi EV don’t have to use their manpower to answer calls and collect details of customers' cars, instead their team can focus on the quality installation service they provide.
Melissa Roberts, managing director of Beanie Media said “Before lockdown our typical projects would be brochure websites and ecommerce platforms. However, we’ve found that businesses are now looking for digital solutions that meet the specific needs of their businesses.
In some cases, this is because businesses owners have had time to sit back and evaluate where they could be doing things more productively. And for others, it’s that they've had to look at digital solutions to work around the barriers that lockdown has presented them with”
