'Let the weekend be gin!' Beverley Gin Festival's back at Beverley Minster
Beverley Gin Festival is back next weekend, Friday May 12th and Saturday May 13th, as Beverley Minster again plays host to this popular annual event.
Supported by great live music and tasty street food, the festival is packed with an incredible array of British and international gins and other specialty beers and cocktails.
"The festival is about the appreciation of great, unique and original gins, but more than that Beverley Gin Festival is about friends and families and groups of people having a friendly, good time; there's something quite special about a drink, dance and bite to eat together," said Rob Snaith, festival director.
"There's always a great buzz about the place and we've had another fantastic response and support from the people of Beverley, Hull and East Yorkshire who really know how to have a good time; and this year the festival has been attracting more visitors from all over Yorkshire, the North and the rest of the country including Birmingham, Doncaster, London, Newcastle, Pontefract and Scarborough.
"We are lucky to once again have mouth-watering street food from Billy Bob's that is tasty, moreish, well-prepared, carefully cooked and rapidly served.
"And we've selected a super mix of live music acts, with funk, disco, blues. soul and popular songs that are sure to get you on the dance floor."
Popular local musicians performing include Annalee and Lilly Mckai.
As well as gins from the UK and around the world, a selection of craft beer, Prosecco, and cocktails will be available, including a signature cocktail created for this year's festival by House of Bevs (HOBS), the Beverley cocktail and coffee bar.
Gins and festival souvenirs will be available at the festival shop and there will be gin tastings with distillers on hand to chat to festival goers.
The festival's four sessions are Friday May 12th in the evening, 6pm-10pm; Saturday May 13th in the afternoon, 12-4pm; late afternoon, 3pm-7pm; and evening, 6pm-10pm.
A few tickets are still available https://www.beverleyginfestival.co.uk/booknow and priced at £20 for each of the four sessions which includes two drinks, a personal festival gin glass, a metal straw, pen and a custom designed festival programme guide.
