Leeds Law firm hired by Zoopla parent company
Gordons has been appointed by Houseful, the parent company of property brands such as Zoopla, Alto and Hometrack. The firm will support Houseful’s in-house legal team on commercial contracts, data protection compliance, disputes and corporate transactions.
Houseful, formerly known as ZPG property division, is the leader in residential property software, data and insight. It owns and operates a family of established property market platforms, including software platform Alto and valuations supplier Hometrack, as well as Zoopla.
Last year, the company announced that half of all UK housing transactions, and 18 of the top 20 UK lenders, use Houseful software.
Houseful’s general counsel, Amelia Guilfoyle, said: “Gordons are an extension of the in-house legal team at Houseful. It’s great having a partner that is responsive and collaborative in their approach. We look forward to continuing to work closely with the Gordons team.”
Lauren Wills-Dixon, senior lawyer at Gordons who leads the firm’s data protection specialism, said: “Houseful offers a range of services which support millions of consumers and businesses and continues to grow its innovative data-driven offerings. This has made it, and its brands, some of the most trusted companies in the UK.
“We are delighted to work together with Houseful through our managed legal services offering to support the delivery of key projects and partnerships. We are passionate about working closely with in-house teams to share knowledge, combine expertise and contribute to the commercial success of our clients.”
