Leeds’ annual Digital Festival has achieved record numbers, with more than 200 events attracting an audience of over 33 million through social media, national press, and regional outlets.

The festival, known for drawing big names in the digital industry, welcomed high-profile speakers, including Chris Bryant MP, Minister of State for the Department of Culture, Media, and Sport, and the Department for Science, Innovation, and Technology. The event culminated with a fireside chat led by Baroness Jones of Whitchurch, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Future Digital Economy and Online Safety.

Festival director Stuart Clarke MBE remarked on the success: "The Leeds Digital Festival continues to expand, showcasing the city’s significant role as a global hub for innovation in the digital sector. This year’s packed programme generated unprecedented reach across social media and national press.”

Throughout the festival, thousands of delegates participated in training sessions and received industry insights, with events hosted both in person and online. Among the contributors were some of the region’s most prominent digital companies, including PEXA, BJSS, Leeds Building Society, Planet Sport, Audacia, Amazon Web Services, and Accenture.

Looking ahead, the Leeds Digital Festival is set to return in 2025 for its 10th anniversary. A mini-festival is scheduled for 29 April to 1 May, followed by the main festival from 22 September to 3 October.

Leeds Digital Festival is the UK's largest open platform tech event and the biggest outside London. Most events are free to attend to ensure they remain accessible to all.

The Festival was supported by premier sponsors BJSS and PEXA, executive sponsors Accenture, DWP Digital, Glean, Lloyds Bank, Leeds Building Society, Nexus University of Leeds, Flutter, and a host of associate sponsors.
