Leeds-based data consultancy, the Oakland Group, has been named a ‘World Class’ company for workplace engagement.
The accolade comes as part of a three-star accreditation from Best Companies, which helps organisations become better places to work by measuring, improving and recognising engagement.
Commenting on the achievement, Charlotte Goulding, director of people at Oakland Group, said: “Our business thrives when we can attract and retain the best talent in the industry. We think our people experience here at Oakland is one of the best in the business, and I know that we punch above our weight, but this is a fantastic recognition of everything the team has created together.”
The Best Companies accreditation programme is the UK workplace engagement standard, recognising organisations and managers who genuinely value and respect their employees.
Oakland Group has seen its team grow from 40 to 80 professionals in 12 months, and it recently moved to new offices to accommodate the expanding workforce. The company expects to see revenues top £9 million in 2023.
The consultancy helps a wide range of companies access and use data more effectively. Its clients include Network Rail, Vodafone, and Yorkshire Water.
Charlotte concluded: “We continue to invest in our people and have co-created our career framework, which means having a set of core skills defined along with expertise areas in development. This means everyone can more clearly understand what progression looks like both within and between levels. As we are growing quickly, we must provide the right level of structure that gives people the freedom to navigate their own paths.”
