Leeds-headquartered digital works management specialist eviFile has announced a technical partnership with Nodes and Links, one of the world’s leading advanced analytics innovators in the rail, construction, and infrastructure sectors.
eviFile’s agile digital data workflow solution is currently used by major contractors and service providers across the UK and has provided ground-breaking solutions for Network Rail, SPL, United Utilities, and Drax.
Founded in 2018, Cambridge-headquartered AI company Nodes and Links is backed by world-leading investors alongside prominent universities.
Working closely with the University of Cyprus, and Oxford Saïd Business School on the creation and development of the Aegis scheduling analytics tool, the emergent tech firm is affiliated with leading infrastructure specialists Balfour Beatty, Vinci, and BAM Nuttall, amongst other global leaders in the project delivery sector — utilised on large-scale operations such as HS2.
eviFile’s pioneering platform provides a remote, integrated digital works management and assurance space that delivers real-time reporting across any project or programme of works. Using mobile technology coupled with back-office functionality, planners can streamline the recording, collation, and storage of work and evidence data.
The new technical partnership sees the two SaaS providers team-up to deliver ground-to-boardroom transparency for auditable control of complex projects. By coupling the eviFile capabilities with the Aegis advanced analytics resource, multiple workflows can be streamlined to enable rapid and reliable data-driven decision making.
Commenting on the partnership, eviFile’s managing director Luke Allen said: “eviFile and Nodes and Links have been working collaboratively on several major projects during 2020, bringing the real-time world of data collection into the realm of intelligent schedule risk management, through Aegis.
“We have a number of high-profile bids working their way through to — hopefully — a successful outcome in the short to medium-term. The capability of our joined-up proposition opens up a new world of predictive schedule modelling, using instantaneous data to help increase the predictability and deliverability of any given project.”
Nodes and Links CEO, Greg Lawton, added: “Linking the data provided by eviFile to our Aegis scheduling tool allows planners and managers to achieve a far more complete picture of an entire project.
“Whereas the normal workflow process from the point of data collection to end scheduling can take up to eight weeks, our combined capabilities means we can turn that intelligence around in less than a day.”
“The potential benefits of this partnership for project delivery are endless. We’re already exploring how to use network science to understand how issues spread, and eviFile’s reporting resources will enable us to use field-based information to populate and validate future predictions.”
