National professional services business, Knights, has announced a series of senior promotions across its Sheffield office, reinforcing its continued investment in talent and growth in the Yorkshire market.
Corporate specialists Russell Bainbridge, Tom Rook, and Charlotte Middleton have all been promoted to partner. Fazia Hussain, a key member of the firm’s Tax & Trusts and Wills & Estates teams, has become a senior associate. Meanwhile, Alex Makinson (Commercial), Joseph Galpin (Immigration), and Molly Rae (Corporate) have been promoted to associate.
The promotions reflect Knights’ strength in depth across a wide range of legal specialisms and highlight the firm’s commitment to supporting career development at every level.
Russell Bainbridge advises businesses, banks and shareholders on mergers and acquisitions, employee ownership trusts and corporate reorganisations. He has supported a number of high-value transactions across healthcare, hospitality and manufacturing, including the £20m+ sale of an international infrastructure and technology services provider.
Tom Rook is an experienced commercial lawyer advising clients on complex contracts and data protection issues. With sector expertise in technology, energy and manufacturing, Tom also spent time on secondment at a major UK oil refinery advising on commercial negotiations and supplier contracts.
Charlotte Middleton specialises in employment law, supporting UK and international businesses with employment disputes, TUPE, data subject access requests and regulatory matters. She works closely with boards and HR teams in regulated sectors, including manufacturing, finance and retail.
Fazia Hussain advises private clients and business owners on succession and estate planning, wills and trusts. Her experience includes complex estate administration, Islamic wills and working closely with other professionals on high-value planning strategies.
Also recognised are new associates Alex Makinson, who supports a wide range of businesses on commercial contracts and IP matters; Joseph Galpin, who advises on business and personal immigration, including visa sponsorship and citizenship; and Molly Rae, who has advised on high-value corporate transactions, including acquisitions, MBOs and group restructures.
