Kirklees College has launched its KC Community to support its students in returning to college.

The new initiative has been designed to alleviate the pressures that the coronavirus pandemic has had on student wellbeing by helping students to feel part of an inclusive community and offering a fun and creative outlet for them to express themselves during a challenging time for the education sector.

The aim of the KC Community is to increase collective responsibility and encourage students to become positive and productive members of the college community by reflecting on how they can improve themselves and inspire others.

The KC Community has allowed students to come together and share their experiences, as well as foster the college values of inclusivity, support and respect throughout their time in college via a programme of enrichment activities, including selfie walls, posters and promotional giveaways, to create a sense of belonging from Induction Week onwards.
