Doncaster based business Mount Pleasant Kennels and Cattery Limited has today announced new owners with the financial support of Barclays.
The business was established over 20 years ago and is located at Doncaster Road, Hampole. Mother and daughter Emma and Debra Lavender are the new owners of the business and as well as boarding kennels and cattery they are also a rehoming centre for strays. The kennels and cattery can house up to 114 dogs and 16 cats and provide boarding and day care, dog adoption, dog training classes and behaviour services.
Emma said: “It’s been my long held dream to own my own kennels as I love working with animals and looking after them. Having competed at Crufts when I was only ten years old, I love training dogs and I’m a qualified trainer and Crufts judge. We’re planning to expand the training side of the business and it’s great that Barclays has been able to support us with the purchase, helping to make our dreams come true.”
We provide love and care for dogs until they are able to find their forever family, working with local and regional councils. Emma is the youngest qualified Championship judge in the UK.
Chris North, Barclays Business Manager put together the funding package for the deal and said; “It’s been an absolute pleasure working with Emma and Debra to help them achieve their dream of owning their own kennels and I know they have big plans to take the business to the next level with new dog training sessions. Emma and Debra really impressed me with their knowledge of the business, commitment and ambitious plans and we look forward to seeing the business grow over the coming years.”
