Julie flies high for the Kirkwood Hospice
Ramsdens Solicitors very own Queen of adrenaline, Julie Ellam from the Litigation team took to the skies…all for charity.
She was finally able to take to the sky and complete her wing-walk in aid of The Kirkwood Hospice, after almost two-years of postponements.
The flight lasted approximately 10 minutes and saw Julie travelling speeds up to 120 mph and flying between 100 – 500 feet off the ground!
Commenting on the experience, Julie said: “It was out of this world weird when taking off as my cheeks were wobbling. It was a bit daunting when from going side to side as I got that ‘falling off’ feeling but it was an amazing experience and I’m so glad I did it.”
So far Julie has managed to raise over £2,400, which is absolutely incredible!
Julie was supported by her family and colleagues Paul Booth and Nick Armitag, both Partners in the litigation team.
Julia Owen, community fundraiser for The Kirkwood added: “It was great to see Julie take to the skies and complete her adrenaline-fuelled challenge. We’re incredibly grateful to all our fundraisers and hope to see more of these events taking place as lockdown eases.”
Donations in support of her wing walk can still be made online: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/JulieWingWalk.
