IoD Yorkshire and North East has appointed a new ambassador to represent North Yorkshire.
Natalie Foster has been made education and skills ambassador and will support IoD members to connect with one another, develop professionally and influence policy and decision-makers at the highest levels.
Natalie has recently launched her own company – Foster Clay Law – on the North Yorkshire coast, having previously worked in business banking area management and legal practice management.
She and her co- director Nathan Clay, formerly of Blacks in Leeds, lead a team of commercial and personal solicitors across the North whose emphasis is on the importance of business acumen whilst delivering legal advice digitally and improving access and service, making lives easier.
Natalie said: “I’m delighted to support the IoD as an ambassador – the IoD recognises that the coast needs to be heard and that opportunities for regional commerce need to be communicated to the business community in Scarborough and Ryedale.”
The IoD is the UK’s number one organisation for directors, providing support, events, professional development and a lobbying voice for all types of business.
The Institute helped to secure vital support for directors during the Covid-19 pandemic, including financial assistance for wage bills and changes to insolvency rules.
Caroline Pullich, acting IoD North Yorkshire branch chair, said: “I am really pleased that Natalie has come on board as an ambassador. She will help strengthen the IoD’s voice in one of our region’s largest areas and provide valuable support to directors in these challenging times for businesses and their communities.”
