A Yorkshire manufacturing company, specialising in high quality bespoke blinds, has launched a modern and engaging website to underline its bold new identity.
Huddersfield firm Excel enlisted the expertise of creative digital marketing agency The Bigger Boat to give its online personality a new lick of paint, manage its social media channels, analyse commercially driven data and help design an online lead generation strategy.
The home furnishings supplier required a more fitting but contemporary feel for its online presence, with the aim of the digital refresh to drum up new business opportunities with stronger calls to action and improvements to its Google ranking.
The official website launch marks the completion of the collaborative duo’s four-month project.
Commenting on how The Bigger Boat’s work has breathed new life into the firm, Venice Gent, head of marketing at Excel, said: “We needed a well-rounded marketing partner and The Bigger Boat fit the bill perfectly because of its attention to detail and results-driven ethos.
“The team showed us how to make the most effective use of our website and digital activities and were more focused towards the generation of leads, rather than followers, in order to create a return from our online activity.
“We’ve always been advocates of utilising, and supporting, other Yorkshire businesses and – after searching for a strong regional firm – we looked no further than the The Bigger Boat because of the enterprise’s professionalism, experience and wide range of skills.”
Andy McCaul, director at The Bigger Boat, and account manager Ruby Ribbons led on the project alongside in-house web design, SEO and copywriting specialists who teamed up to finalise the Mirfield team’s impressive overhaul.
“We quickly spotted where Excel required support, in order to truly reflect the breadth and professionalism of the business’s product offering,” added Ruby.
“Having experience of working with other manufacturing firms – such as GB Projects and Deuren – we understand the customer type, the online journeys they prefer and what kind of marketing works best. We’re really excited to see the audience’s reaction to Excel’s fresh look.”
