Sheffield-based housebuilder Honey has appointed law firm Gordons to handle the residential conveyancing on its first development, a 50-home scheme.
Work has already started on site and the first residents are expected to move into their new homes next March.
A team from Gordons led by partner and head of residential development, Mike Finnett, will handle the conveyancing on all homes at Amber.
Honey was founded by former Avant Homes chief executive officer, Mark Mitchell, in October last year. The company is backed by private equity firm Alchemy Partners and its Alchemy Special Opportunities Fund IV which has £937m of fully committed capital.
Mark said: “As a fast-growing entrepreneurial housebuilder, Gordons is the ideal law firm for us. Mike and his team will help ensure our buyers enjoy a smooth conveyancing process which will be an important part of their customer experience journey with us.
“This is our first development and we have many more planned. We hope to continue to develop our relationship with Gordons as we expand further throughout Yorkshire.”
Honey has recently submitted plans and is awaiting a decision on its plans for a £23.5m, 95-new home development on Barnburgh Lane, Barnsley, called Iris.
Gordons head of residential development, Mike Finnett, commented: “Mark and the team at Honey have got off to a flying start and we are very pleased to have been appointed to help deliver their sales.
“We have got a strong and growing presence in the residential development sector, and this latest new business win is testimony to that. We now look forward to playing our part in enabling Honey’s continued success.”
