Gent Visick boxes up UK HQ for global manufacturer

A modern warehouse in Sherburn in Elmet has been acquired by a manufacturing business in a deal negotiated by property consultancy, Gent Visick.
Gent Visick acquired the 15,997 sq ft property on a freehold basis for TCY UK, the UK arm of Taiwan based TCY. The firm manufactures box making machinery and has taken immediate occupation of Mayfair House on Lancaster Business Park.

TCY UK’s managing director, Rob Garvey said: “By directly establishing a presence in the UK, TCY will be able to build on our UK customer base, as well as offering immediate access to a large parts inventory, and also gain a foothold in parts of Europe and North America too. Our firm has been producing specialist corrugated packaging machinery for over 60 years and we’re delighted to be able to bring that expertise, know-how and most importantly, direct support to our clients from here in the UK.”

Harry Fullerton, from Gent Visick’s agency division, said: “Mayfair House presented a rare opportunity for an owner occupier to buy a modern, purpose-built warehouse. With a large yard and parking area, the whole site spans almost an acre and was ready to move into straight away. We successfully negotiated a substantially reduced price for TCY that the firm was delighted with.”

Sherburn in Elmet is approximately 15 miles to the east of Leeds city centre, and the business park is a popular industrial location. Neighbouring occupiers include the likes of Kingspan, which is Sainsbury’s distribution centre. Harry added: “Located towards the rear of the industrial estate, the unit TCY bought sits within an enclosed yard and is made of a single bay steel portal frame with metal clad elevations and partially glazed two storey offices. The whole site is also very secure with steel fencing and CCTV, which added to its appeal.”
