Further growth for recruitment firm as team expands again
Glu Recruit, the South Yorkshire based specialist recruitment consultancy, have added three new members to their team as they plan for further growth in 2021.
Strengthening the team across a number of different disciplines, the Rotherham headquartered business predicts an increase in confidence amongst local businesses as lockdown restrictions start to ease.
The now 9-strong team welcomes a new strategic partnerships manager, a recruitment consultant, and an apprentice recruitment administrator, as client demand continues to rise.
Rob Shaw, managing director comments: “We always try to do things differently and whilst many businesses across the region have tightened their budgets as they plan their way out of the pandemic, we have decided the best way for us to tackle things is to focus on growth from within.
“As demand from clients continues to grow strong, we want to make sure we have the infrastructure in place to be able to manage this effectively, as well as seek out new opportunities. So, whilst we have added to our recruitment team, we have also created a new role that focuses purely on business development and new client partnerships.
“We’re delighted to bring in an experienced sales manager in Danny Johnson as our new strategic partnerships manager, to focus on enhancing our existing client relationships, as well as developing new ones with businesses across the Sheffield City Region. Danny ticks may boxes for us; he has developed a successful career as a recruiter, as well as being an experience sales professional, so this all round experience will help take Glu Recruit to the next level.”
Danny adds: “I’m delighted to join in this newly created position and can’t wait to see how my experience can help add further growth to an already well established, and well respected recruitment consultancy.
“I have known Rob for a number of years and having worked with Glu from the outside-in, I know how the business operates and what is expected of making a success of this role. My recruitment journey started 10 years ago as a hands-on consultant dealing with some niche industries and roles and has since developed into something more relationship focused on the client development side.
“I’m looking forward to bringing my knowledge and experience of the regional B2B market to the firm to help facilitate further growth.”
Rob concludes: “In addition to Danny’s appointment, we’re delighted to bring Ashleigh Naughton to the family as our new recruitment consultant, as well as Caitlyn Haslam as our new apprentice recruitment administrator.
“Ashleigh comes from an Insurance background and will help us tap into some new markets with specialised recruitment services, and Caitlyn will bring some much needed admin support to ensure our back office activities are as streamlined as possible. There’s never a dull moment here, and we are really looking forward to seeing what the rest of the year has in store for us!”
