A Worth Valley cleaning company has pledged its support to families across the region by becoming patron of a Yorkshire children’s charity.

Oakworth-based Providi Ltd are the latest local firm to announce their patronage of The Principle Trust, which provides respite breaks to children who are underprivileged, disadvantaged, disabled, have life-limiting conditions, or who have experienced poverty, trauma or abuse.

Established in 2019 by managing director Emilie Hainsworth, Providi operates across Wharfedale, Craven, the Aire and Worth Valleys, providing cleaning and property management services to corporate, commercial and industrial clients, including property developers and holiday lets.

The growing family firm, which employs 10 staff, was recently shortlisted in the Customer Service category of the National Cleaning Industry Awards.

Emilie said she was motivated to support the charity on a long-term basis and has also committed help prepare the Trust’s respite lodges for next year’s holiday season; Providi offers staff paid time off to support charitable causes.

Making the announcement charity trustee Andrew Davies said, ‘We are pleased to welcome Providi as a patron. Thanks to compassionate companies like Providi, the Trust can continue supporting families across the Yorkshire region.’

Emilie added, ‘We’re delighted to be joining the Principle Trust as patrons. Our commitment to this very special charity will help some of our region’s most disadvantaged children to escape their everyday challenges and create long-lasting happy memories.’

Launched in 2011, The Principle Trust Children’s Charity was established by local businessman Mike Davies, MBE. Over the past decade the Trust has raised over £1.7m, purchased six holiday homes and provided respite breaks for 5000 children across the Yorkshire region.
