The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, based in Skipton, North Yorkshire aims to improve the quality of life for children across Yorkshire by providing free holidays at one of their five holiday homes.
Originally founded in 2011 by Mike Davies (MBE), the charity works closely with referring services and government bodies to support children and their families.
In April 2020, the Charity became aware in the increase in disadvantaged children as a result of having a parent/caregiver working as a key worker during the global pandemic. The Principle Trust soon announced that they were to begin fundraising to support key workers by sending them and their children on a free break, and for the first time since opening, the charity made applications for free breaks available to the public last week. Mike states “there is no doubt that the children of the key workers, working hard with severe risk, at the forefront of this awful virus deserve a break with their parents to charge and enjoy family life again”.
The Principle Trust is asking for key workers to either nominate themselves or colleagues and friends, to be in with a chance of receiving a free holiday. The Principle Trust will allocate free breaks at one of their five holiday homes, depending on availability and park re-opening.
The online entry is to be nominated to receive a free hot tub holiday. If you would more information or would like to speak directly to a team member about applying for a free holiday at one of the five holiday homes, please contact info@theprincipletrust.co.uk.
