Advanced manufacturing firm Aqualand Industries has made a six-figure investment to double the size of its facility in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire.

The new 4,000 sq ft factory and warehouse space will accommodate the company’s growing product range and support its growing export business. The move will create six new engineering jobs.

The firm supports the leisure industry with ride-on vehicles for children of all ages and consultancy services to help destinations optimise their guest offerings.

Aqualand Industries saw orders leap 700% to 441 vehicles over the first half of 2024. It puts the firm on track to hit a turnover of £1m this year and expand its export business further in Scandinavia and across Europe.

Commenting on the growth, Carl Byford, general manager of Aqualand Industries, said: “We reengineered the business to focus on helping destinations with plan, play and profit. The turnkey service is helping to grow our business and provide customers with the support they need to grow. Investing in our new manufacturing facility will ensure we can take the business to the next level.”

Aqualand Industries has expanded its product range to include the electric six-wheeled Crazi-Bugz, Adventure-Trukz, and Adventurer pedal cart. The company offers leasing, full purchase, or a mixture of both to provide operators with the flexibility they need to introduce the range of products.
