Fast-growing brownie business reveals expansion plans with ten new stores nationwide
A Yorkshire-headquartered business which bakes chocolate brownies and sells them online and in shops and cafés across the UK has announced a major expansion which will see it almost double in size inside the next ten months.
Love Brownies, an award-winning bakery which started on owner and head-baker Chantal Teal’s kitchen table in Ilkley in 2009, has just opened its twelfth brownie shop and café and will open ten more this year.
The latest store in Loughton, Essex, will be followed by a Bristol café in May with more shops already planned to open every month for the rest of 2021.
The company, which has also just moved into larger headquarters in Ilkley, already has brownie cafés in Harrogate, West Kirby, Angel Islington, Southgate, Guildford, Canterbury, Swindon, Clapham Junction, Penarth and the Brownie Barn in Barden. The company employs 9 people at its HQ in Ilkley and around 70 people across its retail outlets.
Love Brownies’ Head Baker and Owner, Chantal Teal said: “We’re delighted to have reached the milestone of our twelfth UK opening and are so excited to bring the Love Brownies brand to more communities.
“We’ve always been passionate about keeping high streets alive and it’s great to be able to create jobs at a time when things are so difficult for so many people.
“We have an ambitious schedule of openings across the UK and look forward to opening our Bristol shop and café in May.”
