A sustainably manufactured kitchen collection launched by the three entrepreneurial brothers behind a Yorkshire bespoke fitted furniture company has been recognised as a finalist in the 2020 Designer Awards.
Daval Furniture’s Renzo kitchen collection has been named in the Innovation in Kitchen Design category.
The collection is FSC Certified and is the company’s first kitchen to feature cabinet doors made from 100% recycled materials.
Simon Bodsworth, managing director, explained: “The ongoing move towards a more sustainable way of living means consumers are increasingly aware of the environmental impact of the products they have in their home.
“The Renzo collection has allowed us to present our customers with a kitchen range that includes 100% recycled materials that are both resourceful and contemporary by design.”
Launched in 1978 by former cabinet maker David Bodsworth and wife, Alyson, Daval is now run by the couple’s three sons, Simon, 37, Paul, 35, and James, 33, and operates a 100,000 sq. ft production line and product showroom from its headquarters in Slaithwaite.
Simon added: “Our passion and commitment as a business towards the circular economy pushes us to innovate with regards to our sourcing and manufacturing methods as well as our product development. The Renzo range demonstrates this and provides our customers with an option that gives future generations a better quality of life."
The Designer Awards are regarded as the only design-focused awards event for the kitchen, bathroom and interiors industry and recognise outstanding designers, project design and manufacturers for product design.
Winners will be announced on 18th November.
