A Sheffield chartered accountancy and business advisory firm has made two senior promotions as the business continues to go from strength to strength in 2021.

Hentons, which is ranked as one of the top 100 accountancy firms by fee income in the UK by industry bible Accountancy Age, has promoted Anthony Hamilton to Director and Olivia Broadhead to Manager. Both are based at Hentons’ Sheffield office, at Kollider in the heart of Sheffield city centre.

Chartered Accountant, Anthony joined Hentons almost two years ago and has been instrumental in growing the digital offering at the fast-growing, independently owned firm. Playing a major role in Hentons being recognised as one of the top three large firms in the UK by cloud-based software firm Xero, he has worked across all five of Hentons’ offices to deliver a fully integrated and future proof client focussed business offering.

Anthony said: “Hentons is always forward thinking and looking for new ways to add value to the services we provide. Our ethos is all about providing clients with proactive strategic advice and hands on financial management. As we are independent and entrepreneurial, we can spot an opportunity and quickly act on it to benefit our clients whom we support with investments, tax planning and accountancy needs.”

Olivia, who has eight years’ experience, is a client focused accountant. Skilled in financial accounting, VAT, tax and HMRC issues, Olivia is an expert in cloud accounting software. Olivia said: “We help clients with their personal and business financial needs and manage everything from audit and accounts to payroll, tax, wealth management, digital accounting and business advisory services.”

Partner, Tim Baum-Dixon said: “Anthony leads from the front and has brought in several larger clients whilst managing the 11-strong Sheffield team on a day-to-day basis. He will now continue to build on this success and help drive our ambitious growth plans in Sheffield, whilst also continuing to roll out our impressive digital software solutions for clients.

“Olivia is very capable and phenomenally hard-working member of our team. A safe pair of hands, her determination to deliver the highest quality of service is inspirational. With a focus on efficiency and cross-selling, she’s a great example of what can be achieved through our internal management training programme and is definitely one to watch in the industry.”

Hentons has seen a 13% growth in turnover over the last 12 months and currently employs 120 people across its offices in Sheffield, Leeds, York, Thirsk and London. The firm represents several well-known South Yorkshire businesses in the construction, transport and hospitality sectors.
