As part of their ongoing support for Leeds Cares, Search Laboratory has carried out search engine optimisation and run online adverts to increase awareness of the charity’s urgent fundraising appeal launched in March amidst the COVID-19 outbreak. This is in addition to regular fundraising events and care package drop-offs for the charity.

Announced as the agency’s ‘Charity of the Year’, Leeds Cares is the official charity partner of Leeds Teaching Hospitals and supports NHS staff to deliver the best care for over a million patients and their families each year. Alongside local communities, schools and businesses across the city and beyond, Search Laboratory is helping to contribute to the £5 million in additional funding each year to Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.

Leeds Cares was nominated as the company’s charity of the year after one of their employees, Scott Hamilton, had a son who was born prematurely and was cared for at Leeds Children’s Hospital.

Director of Fundraising Paul Watkins said companies like Search Laboratory have really made a difference during the pandemic: “Support through pro-bono services allows us to do more and reach more people – without spending valuable charitable funding. We’re really grateful to Search Laboratory for the support they’ve provided during this time”.

Tim Carr, Operations Director at Search Laboratory, said: “One of our company values at Search Laboratory is to give back to the community and as Leeds Cares is our chosen charity of the year, we were only too happy to help them maximise their urgent fundraising appeal online through our digital marketing services. We are extremely pleased that the charity has received so many donations at a time that has been tough for many. We look forward to working with them on further campaigns over the course of our partnership.”
