Yorkshire commercial design and build specialist Design Tonic has been appointed by Devonshires Solicitors as the build and fit-out partner for its brand-new office in Leeds city centre.

Currently located at Whitehall Riverside, the firm has taken up 6,500 sq ft of space in Aire Park, where it will move its entire Leeds operation in the Spring.

The new office will be the first fit-out to take place at 1 & 3 South Brook Street, which are the first office buildings to be completed at the new 24-acre development, located in the South Bank area of the city.

Working in collaboration with Blue Bottle architecture and design, which conceived Devonshires London office, Design Tonic will take the unit from an empty floor plate to full fit-out to create a thoughtfully designed, modern workspace.

Features include placemaking areas, open plan workspaces, sound managed meeting rooms and high-quality communal facilities to offer comfort and functionality for Devonshires employees and accommodate further growth for the business. Furnishings will be supplied by furniture design consultancy OW-N.

Speaking about the project, Design Tonic director and co-founder, Amanda Cook, said: “We are delighted to be appointed by Devonshires to fit-out its new Leeds office at Aire Park. The development is an outstanding new mixed-use location providing an extremely high standard of office space and we are very pleased to be the team creating the first new workspace here.”

Devonshires head of facilities, Sam Forman, said: “After a period of rapid growth, moving to a new home at Aire Park is a significant investment for the business. We are committed to providing an exceptional space for our people and our clients and one that will serve us for many years to come. We have been extremely impressed with Design Tonic’s approach and expertise and are delighted to have the team on board with us to deliver this project.”

Masterplanned by international real estate organisation Vastint, Aire Park is a 24-acre mixed-use district, centred around an eight-acre park. Once complete it will create a flourishing new commercial and residential neighbourhood.

Vastint property manager, Hannah Rhodes, added: “It is hugely exciting for us to see Devonshires get underway with its re-location to Aire Park and be our first occupied tenants. The plans for its new office space are very impressive and we are looking forward to seeing Design Tonic’s highly skilled team bring them to life.”
