Harrogate-based disaster recovery and data backup business Assured Data Protection has teamed up with Mhor to provide home workspaces.

The new partnership sees Mhor providing secure home office units to the global data backup, disaster recovery and business continuity firm.

Assured Data Protection combines industry-leading cloud data management Rubrik technology with its own expertise to meet the data protection and disaster recovery requirements of a wide variety of clients spanning various sectors from the NHS and Anesco Renewable Energy to Blackpool Council and Richmond Housing Partnership.

In the UK and internationally, the firm delivers data backup, disaster recovery and business continuity to customers ranging from 5TB to multiple petabytes, across any number of sites, from on-premise to hybrid cloud.

Commenting on the partnership Simon Chappell, director and co-founder of Assured Data Protection, said: "We manage the data of some of the world’s biggest companies, and it is essential that we help our teams work securely. With a greater emphasis now more than ever before on flexible working together with ensuring employee safety, we needed to provide reliable workspaces that offered the same level of IT and data security as achieved in the traditional office environment setting. In partnering with Mhor, we can not only offer this reassurance to our teams of data experts who wish to work remotely but also to our clients across the world.”

Mhor provides a fully managed service based on a modular home office that is delivered ready to 'plug and play'. Manufactured in North Yorkshire, each home office is designed to be acoustically insulated and comes with commercial-grade lighting and high standard ergonomic furniture.

Importantly for Assured DP, dedicated commercial grade internet connectivity is integrated, and the home offices can be fully secured when not providing a professional working environment.

Mhor founder Alex Duckett was inspired to launch the company after speaking to companies struggling to meet compliance requirements and address many of the challenges professionals face when working from home. As the adoption of flexible working soars, Mhor is helping companies meet their obligations on employee wellbeing and compliance issues.

Alex said: “Our vision at Mhor is to give customers their best day at work, at home. Our workspaces were researched and designed to provide a dedicated and secure workspace that creates the optimal environment for productivity. The progressive new way of working for Assured Data Protection will ensure continued business growth in line with ensuring the wellbeing and productivity of its employees.”

Research published by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has highlighted the need for employers to make homeworking a success rather than rushing to return staff to workplaces and previous ways of working. Data findings reveal that homeworking productivity increased during the pandemic, with more employers saying that the shift to homeworking has boosted productivity (33 per cent) than in June 2020 (28 per cent).
