Poonam Kaur, CEO of fds Director Services, has been presented with the Leeds City Region Leader award by The Northern Leadership Awards which are hosted by TheBusinessDesk.com.
Poonam received the Leeds City Region Leader on 30th March at a celebration event at the Midland Hotel, Manchester, in the company of inspirational and influential business leaders all from the North of England.
TheBusinessDesk.com created the Northern Leadership Awards to celebrate the people that are role models within their organisations and raise the bar for their competitors. The winners will show the qualities of extraordinary leadership and be able to demonstrate the positive impact this has had.
The Leadership awards offer a great opportunity to recognise and showcase the achievements and success of businesses in the region.
The Leeds City Region Award recognises individuals who have made a difference in their city regions. This can be because of the impact of their business – whether that’s through its normal operations or because of how it responded to the crisis - or because of other roles which helped support others through the crisis.
Alex Turner, joint managing director of TheBusinessDesk.com, said: “The Northern Leadership Awards were created five years ago to showcase the very best leaders in our region and tonight has recognised another fantastic cohort.
Everyone on the shortlist has demonstrated authentic and successful leadership and the judges had a very tough job in choosing between many great candidates – and that has resulted in a great group of winners.”
Poonam commented “I am ecstatic and overwhelmed to be presented with this award. The others shortlisted in my category were truly worthy, but I am beyond grateful to be recognised for my contribution to business, community and charitable causes in the region.”
