Huddersfield based compliance and health and safety experts have announced that they are going to extend their corporate partnership with The Children’s Air Ambulance (TCAA) for another 12 months.
Synergos have always supported charities and named the vital inter-hospital transfer service, which flies critically ill babies and children from one hospital to another for specialist care, as their chosen Charity of the Year in November 2020.
So far, they have raised £2,488 for this wonderful charity through some of the fundraising events that they have done and have enjoyed working with the team at TCAA so much, that they have decided to keep them as their chosen charity of the year for another year.
In July 2022, two of the team, Steve Kilburn and Steve Byrom, will be taking to the skies themselves and taking part in the 'Keeping Hope Alive Yorkshire Skydive'
Sharon Evans, Community Fundraising Officer at the Children’s Air Ambulance says: “We are so grateful to the team at Synergos for their fantastic support. Just five months into the Charity of the Year Partnership, the dedicated team at Synergos raised almost £1,500, making a real difference to the Children’s Air Ambulance charity – it’s meant that we have been able to continue our lifesaving service through transferring critically ill babies and children, at high-speed, from local hospitals to specialist paediatric and neonatal treatment centres across the UK.
The funds raised also helps us to further improve specialist, lifesaving equipment onboard our aircraft such as the recent ECMO and nitric oxide functionality modifications. The Children’s Air Ambulance charity is continually looking at ways in which we can increase support to the NHS and the clinical teams we work with, so partnerships like this are vital in continuing to lead the way in paediatric and neonatal transfer aviation, and to continue saving little lives.”
Jenny Kilburn, Managing Director of Synergos Consultancy added: “We chose to partner with the Children’s Air Ambulance due to the work that they do to support the needs of critically ill children. We realised that this national charity isn’t as well known or as in the spotlight as others, and we liked the engagement and support from our very first interaction with them. My team and our clients and contacts have shown amazing support for them this year and we look forward to raising even more vital funds for them in 2022.”
