Harrogate-based law firm, Consilia Legal has announced a new initiative providing business protection advice to Yorkshire-based businesses launched during lockdown with plans to upscale.
The specialist Employment Law team at the boutique firm will be offering legal advice on the vital areas of employment law in a bid to support local start-ups launched in the midst of the pandemic. According to Gov.co.uk there was a 30% increase in new business registrations in the third quarter of 2020 with over 51,000 new incorporations reported on Companies House*. Lockdown has presented a number of new business opportunities for the region and the firm’s latest initiative aims to recognise, reward and support successful start-ups.
Local businesses** registered after April 2020 with expansion plans are being encouraged to come forward to benefit from the scheme which will offer a series of virtual workshops, mentoring and support on employment law matters to protect the business from bumps along the way.
Marie Walsh, co-director, employment solicitor and mediator said, “we’ve seen some fantastic new regional businesses emerge during lockdown and we’re keen to help support those looking to upscale. The legal side of running a business can be a minefield, so we’re here to take the pressure off and provide employment law advice to support the growth and future plans and aspirations of the regions lockdown successes.”
