Collagin, the original gin with added collagen that caused a media frenzy worldwide, has officially launched in John Lewis stores nationwide.
The cult gin which has caused a media frenzy worldwide will be stocked in all 50 John Lewis stores in the UK as well as being available online. The unique gin has also secured the prestigious ‘Gin Of The Month’ accolade for the whole of September.
Ffion Lloyd, Assistant Buyer, Gift Food & Alcohol for John Lewis, comments: “Gin continues to grow momentum, and whilst we’ve seen lots of flavours and brands we loved the uniqueness of the collagen infused gin, it’s smooth to taste with lovely hints of citrus and comes in a beautiful bottle with crisp branding. We’re looking forward to launching it with us this Autumn and are confident our customers will love it.”
The co-founders, Camilla Brown and Liz Beswick, will be touring the country to hold in store tastings, including Oxford, Reading, Milton Keynes and Bluewater from September onwards.
Co-Founder Camilla Brown comments: “Launching with John Lewis is an absolute game changer for us. Considering we launched last March with a product some people thought of as a gimmick, we are so proud we’ve proven ourselves to be a contender in the competitive gin world. Being stocked with one of the most respected retailers in the world is another step towards proving to the naysayers that Collagin may have a opinion splitting USP, but ultimately is a bloody good gin.”
The news comes after the company recently launched a sell out limited edition Pink Rose version. They are also in discussion with John Lewis to create an exclusive Christmas version.
Collagin is made with America’s number one collagen brand which does not affect the taste, smell or appearance of the gin. The price in store and online with John Lewis is £35.00 for a 50cl bottle.
Collagin is distilled once with the botanicals using triple distilled grain spirit. Collagin is not suitable for vegetarians due to the collagen content.
