Chadwick Lawrence offers four training contracts for aspiring solicitors
Yorkshire law firm, Chadwick Lawrence has appointed four new trainee solicitors as part of their internal progression scheme. This scheme sees four current paralegals within the firm being awarded training contracts to continue working in the firm.
Following a thorough evaluation process as part of the firm's annual Fee-earner Progression Scheme, Chadwick Lawrence is delighted to announce the recipients of the coveted training contracts, effective April 1, 2023.
Jaidan Avison in the Real Estate Department will be starting April 2024, Bethan Brooke from the Employment Department, and Kyrran Dearnley-Porter in the Corporate and Commercial Department, have been offered a training contract to start on 1 October 2024. Jamie Howard, currently in the Acclaim Team, will begin his in April 2025.
The training contracts involve a series of six-month rotations, allowing the trainee solicitors to gain hands-on experience across three/four departments within the firm. This approach enables them to explore different facets of legal practice and make informed decisions about their future specialisation upon the completion of their contracts.
Jaidan joined the firm in 2023, she comments “I'm pleased to have secured this training contract, acknowledging the effort put into studying and hard work. Looking ahead, I am eager to explore new areas of law, marking a significant step forward on the path to becoming a fully qualified lawyer.”
Bethan says “Chadwick Lawrence provides opportunities to anyone who has a passion for law, hard work and experience. I look forward to continuing with them to gain the skills I need to finish my training contract and emerge as a Solicitor. This program will involve setting strategic goals and objectives to develop key competencies, file management, costing work, and establishing relationships with clients.”
Kyrran has been at the firm since July 2022, “I'm looking forward to tackling this new challenge. My goal is to work my way up to becoming an Associate and, eventually, a Partner. Securing this training contract marks a meaningful step in that direction.”
Jamie joined in June 2022 as a Paralegal. “I anticipate taking on more responsibilities, exploring more areas of law, and establishing my own identity as a trainee solicitor. There are lots of people who’ve been in the position I am in now and have worked their way up and gone on to be very successful, I hope that I can do the same.”
Managing Partner Neil Wilson says: “Congratulations to Jaidan, Bethan, Kyrran, and Jamie on their training contracts. We wish them all the best in the next part of their training and qualification as Solicitors at Chadwick Lawrence.”
