Leeds integrated marketing agency, Brilliant has announced the acquisition of London based social media and communications agency, CHI.
After ten years of continued growth in Leeds, the agency has been searching for the perfect fit for an acquisition to expand on its offering to their roster of food & beverage clients who are based across the UK, including well-known brands like Saint Agur, SKIPPY Peanut Butter, Beanies Flavour Coffee and Very Lazy. Founder of Brilliant, Laurra Davis says says: “Social media and digital marketing is always evolving, and at the forefront is trend-led, reactive and video-based content - something we already do brilliantly and wanted to increase our offering in. We’ve been on the lookout for a London based agency after our plans to open our London office were ended in April 2020 due to Covid, and so we were pleased to find CHI during our search.
CHI Communications are a London based agency for food & beverage brands who put customer centricity at the heart of their content. Established in 2019 by Chanelle Allen, CHI offered its clients a mix of services across digital marketing, content creation, brand and influencer collaborations and PR.
Laurra continues to say: “With a true alignment of values and quality we knew CHI was the perfect agency to bring into Brilliant - to bolster our offering and maintain our position at the forefront of content marketing for food & beverage brands.”
Speaking on the acquisition, founder of CHI Communications, Chanelle Allen said: "Brilliant is a truly inspirational business that has achieved so much in the past 10 years and works with some incredible brands. There is a lot of similarity in our values and approach to work, so I’m delighted that CHI have joined forces with them to grow Brilliant’s presence in London. The acquisition will allow us to apply our expertise in delivering engaging creative content to Brilliant’s portfolio of leading food & beverage brands."
Chanelle joins the Brilliant team as lead content strategist and brings with her a key member of her team, Francesca Pearson who joins Brilliant as brand partnership & PR manager.
Mike Davis, managing director at Brilliant, commented: “After a long search to find the perfect partner to bring into Brilliant, CHI was really stand out for us. Not just their skillset in working with food & beverage brands but Chanelle’s experience of being a trained chef and their offering of organic content strategies and brand partnerships really bolsters our offering and gives our clients access to new skills and services.”
Brilliant, whose team has increased from 14 to 20 in the past 6 months will open their London office in 2022 and will be recruiting a new London based team as they continue to grow.
