Bradford's picture perfect lockdown discoveries
The people of Bradford are being invited to share photos of their favourite local discoveries that have helped the district sparkle during the winter lockdown.
The initiative is part of the Sparkling Bradford winter campaign, delivered by partners VisitBradford, The Broadway Bradford, Bradford Business improvement District (BID) and Bradford Council.
Cllr Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Healthy People and Places, added: “Whether it’s a green space you never knew existed at the bottom of your road, your new homeschooling workstation, a restaurant or shop that is offering online deliveries that have been a lifeline or helped lift your spirits – we’d love to see your photos of who or what is helping keep Bradford sparkling over these winter months.”
Ian Ward, General Manager of The Broadway shopping centre & Bradford BID Chairman said: “Starting the year in lockdown hasn’t been easy but we know there will be people, places and businesses across the Bradford district that will be helping us get through it together. This campaign is an opportunity to share your best photos of those special discoveries.”
Whether it is a stunning landscape, an urban delight, a people portrait, or something a little more abstract, residents of all ages, from across the district are invited to share their winning images.
The best photos will be shared on a dedicated gallery on the SparklingBradford website, across the Visit Bradford and Sparkling Bradford social media platforms and also included in the brand-new Bradford and district Visitor Guide 2021.
To enter, head to the Visit Bradford Facebook, Twitter or Instagram page using #sparklingbradford with details about the photo. All entries must ensure they have the permissions to submit the photo and be adhering to the current government lockdown guidelines.
