BPI Auctions defeats odds raising over £90,000 for landlords of Trufab Ltd
Following the liquidation of Trufab Ltd, a leading UK supplier of high-quality stainless steel fabrication components to the food, pharmaceutical and machinery industries, the landlords required a site clearance in order to sell the building.
The building owners approached BPI Auctions to oversee the auctioning of machinery, superb slotted tables, tools, racks and shot blasting equipment.
- The auction went live with over 400 separate lots, featuring:
- Two fully integrated shot blasting systems, including modular booths
- A bode welding positioner
- A selection of 3, 2 & 7-tonne cranes with track
- Cast iron slotted tables
- Pull-out sheet metal racking
The auction, which went live between the 8th March and 28th March, saw over 300 registrants with over 200 bidders and finished with 90% of the lots successfully sold and a total sales value of over £90,000.
In addition to managing the auction, BPI also provided full service for the heavy structural removal of seven gantry cranes and loading services for over 700 tons of steel worktables and machinery.
Richard Travis, Industrial Specialist at BPI Auctions, commented: ‘This sale was a huge success and unexpected for the owners as the goods were classed as nil value due to abandonment from the liquidators.
“It was a privilege to be a part of clearing such a historic site ‘Thomas Robinson’s Factory’, and the process was smooth due to the hard work of the BPI team.”
