Since my last blog (apologies it has been a while, we have had several incredibly busy, yet rewarding weeks) our latest edition has been printed and over 10,000 copies distributed across the Yorkshire Region.
The front cover has most certainly caused quite a stir to say the least, with Channel 5’s “The Yorkshire Vet” Julian Norton and his four legged friend. One of our partners even asked if it was our team member James, and I have to say that from a distance there really is a likeness between the gents!
I have recently attended some fantastic events including the prestigious Annual Awards for the Institute of Directors, Yorkshire & The Humber and joining our new partners “Yorkshire Payments” at their team away day to York Races. My waistline is sadly expanding at a rate of knots, however I am not complaining as recently I have been able to review some fabulous restaurants (look out for my review in the next edition) and attend many lunches including the monthly ladies lunch at Dakota in Leeds (such luxurious surroundings).
Although we are incredibly lucky to be able to socialise across the region, we also work exceptionally hard to ensure that we support our partners (which range from colleges to councils, solicitors and hotels, to name but a few) and feature them both online and in print, showcasing their good news stories, views on the business climate, appointments and features. We work closely with such a diverse mix of businesses and individuals, all of whom are firmly committed to the ongoing success of this great county.
With just under three weeks to go until “Yorkshire Day” I urge you all to celebrate this great occasion with your team, family and friends – we have partnered with the “Yorkshire Society” and look forward to their grand plans in Whitby that day (whilst sipping a fine cup of Yorkshire Tea of course!)
I guess it’s time for this proud “Yorkshire Lass” to say “Sithee Later” and head off to my next meeting…however if you wish to catch up with me, I would love to hear from you!
