The joint founder of Brighouse based digital marketing agency The Bigger Boat , is preparing for one of the most gruelling challenges of his career ahead of cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats.
Doug Main is one of a team of seven riders set to cycle between the famous land marks in only seven days to raise funds for Child Brain Research (CBR), which provides support to the British Paediatric Neurology Association (BPNA).
The Yorkshiremen will embark on their journey on 18th June, cycling over 890 miles.
Commenting on the challenge, Doug said:
“The route will see us cover an average of 126 miles per day – 13 miles a day more than the 2016 Tour de France. This is not a ride for the fainthearted.
“But it’s all in aid of a very worthy cause close to our hearts. CBR’s mission is to promote cutting-edge research that will uncover improved treatments for children with a wide range of brain and neurological disorders. We have an ambitious target of £5,000 but we’re going to pedal hard to achieve it!”
