Azets, a top ten UK accounting, tax and business advisory firm and the largest regional professional services firm for SMEs across Europe, has today announced the appointment of Jonathan Amor as a partner to lead the firm’s new restructuring and insolvency team for its Yorkshire offices.
The appointment will enhance Azets’ restructuring and insolvency capabilities in Yorkshire covering the firm’s offices in Leeds and York. Jonathan specialises in helping companies experiencing financial distress or facing closure with restructuring and rescue options. He offers specialist advisory services to assist organisations in making better long term and effective, strategic business decisions.
Jonathan is a chartered certified accountant, licensed Insolvency Practitioner and member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3). He has spent over a decade assisting businesses from multinational corporations to sole traders in matters of financial recovery, insolvency and liquidation. He gained seven years of experience in the insolvency department of a Big-4 accountancy firm before setting up his own firm, AM Insolvency. He joined Azets in the North West in 2021 and will now lead the team’s expansion into Yorkshire.
Jonathan brings extensive experience in business restructuring, turnaround and rescue, operating at board level with directors, funders and other stakeholders, with a track-record of success in numerous high profile contentious insolvency cases.
