Leeds based events specialist AYRE Event Solutions has supported full-service marketing agency, Radar Communications to take two of its flagship awards ceremonies virtual following ongoing government restrictions.
With ongoing uncertainty around government restrictions, Radar Communications identified AYRE as a leader in delivering both virtual and hybrid events, appointing the firm to deliver its Tall Buildings Awards which took place in November 2020.
The Tall Buildings Awards celebrate those that are developing unique design and engineering solutions to maximise space in city centres. The awards were broadcast across a full day with a mixture of pre-recorded presentations and live Q&A’s.
Following the success of the Tall Buildings Awards, Radar Communications re-appointed AYRE to work with them on the Structural Timber Awards.
Originally planned to be held as a virtual event with the presenter, AYRE team and Radar Communications onsite at a hotel, the third lockdown forced the event to adapt at the eleventh hour with AYRE transforming the ceremony into a fully virtual event with the host presenting from home.
Commenting on the new partnership, AYRE managing director, Chris Ayre said: “It’s been great to work with Radar Communications on two successful virtual events. Since working on the Tall Buildings Conference Awards at the end of last year, we’ve established a strong working relationship where the team trust our advice and recommendations.
“By building this new partnership, we’ve been able to offer our expert advice and recommendations in order to adapt events to the ongoing restrictions with very little hassle. We very much look forward to working with Radar again in the future.”
Amy Pryce, Event Director at Radar Communications added: “Before the Covid-19 pandemic we didn’t work on virtual events, so when we were faced with having to ‘go virtual’ on a couple of our annual platforms we were very grateful that AYRE were on hand to help deliver the production and provide guidance for this.
“AYRE helped us with a conference at the end of 2020 – but more recently an entirely virtual awards ceremony in January 2021. This event faced some technical difficulties during the stream due to our hosts’ external connection to the platform, but AYRE had worked with us on a ‘back up’ plan should this happen so we were well covered and were back on air very quickly.
“We wouldn’t hesitate in contacting AYRE for any future virtual event needs or recommending them moving forward.”
