An evening of magic, spells and sorcery

On the 25th July, the Rotherham apothecary is hosting an evening with renowned gemmologist Helen Dimmick that lifts the veil on the myths and legends behind classic gemstones.

Guests can relax with canapes (eyeballs, snake legs and tail of newt – human alternatives available) and cocktails (witches brew, cauldron slime, and of course a selection of wine for non-magic folk) whilst entertainment is provided by Grimm & Co’s resident wizard, and special works from local schoolchildren.

Tickets to the magical night are £20 per mortal, inclusive of canapés, drinks and goodies. All proceeds from the event will support the great work of the charity, which supports with children from Rotherham and across Yorkshire.

Grimm & Co is a Yorkshire-wide charity which aims to unlock imaginations in young people aged 7 to 18 and creatively inspire them in the literary arts.  The enchanting apothecary offers exciting free writing workshops that build aspirations, confidence and creativity, and inspire the future of Yorkshire’s next generation.

Sparkles and Sorcery takes place on the 25th of July 2018 at 7-9pm at 2 Doncaster Gate, Rotherham S65 1DJ. Tickets can be purchased online via Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/sparkles-and-sorcery-tickets-47297701699) . For other enquiries, please call the apothecary on 01709 829 750.
