Acumen awarded Group Waste Management Contract
Places for People (PfP) and Leeds headquartered Acumen Waste Services Ltd (Acumen) have entered in to a 4-year contract for the provision of total waste management services across PfP’s entire portfolio of Regulated and Non-Regulated businesses.
Following an extended and open tendering process, PfP opted to award the contract to Acumen as their proposition sat closest to PfP’s “People First Promise”, a central tenet of their corporate policy. This promise hinges on PfP’s commitment to ensuring that their relationships with colleagues, customers and clients come before anything else and is embedded across their 20 business divisions.
Acumen’s tender was centrally positioned on a collaborative methodology around putting the customer first and was underpinned by a market-leading approach to ordering and compliance checking. It was this multifaceted proposition that ensured that Acumen were selected as the preferred provider, and the work is contracted to start with immediate effect.
The Acumen and PfP working relationship spans well over a decade. As an existing supplier to PfP in their Regulated business, this latest contract award recognises PfP’s desire for consistent and absolute compliance in their approach to waste management across the group.
Speaking of the contract award Kris Sutton, executive director at Acumen says: “We’re delighted to extend our longstanding relationship with PfP to include their entire portfolio of Group Companies. We consider ourselves leaders at making our customer’s lives easier, whilst ensuring that every transaction they make is backed by absolute compliance and commercial efficiency, delivered by Acumen’s Mobile App, this has given PfP’s operatives direct access to our extensive Waste Services. So PfP’s contract award is external recognition of this, and we look forward to working with the wider PfP team.”
