A treat for music fans if you love your vinyl

What a beautiful Bank Holiday weekend we have enjoyed in the sunshine, although we were busy here on Bank Holiday Monday working on the next edition of TopicUK that will be Yorkshire Wide from next edition.

We were also working on our new venture, Urban Market, a fantastic new newspaper that will feature everything local from Yorkshire, food, deli’s, cheeses, baking, drink, farming, growing, organic, etc etc. If you have a business making any of these products we want to hear from you.
I was lucky enough this afternoon to visit Sound Leisure in Leeds who manufacture jukeboxes, but not just any jukeboxes, but jukeboxes that play vinyl records! I believe they are the only manufacturer in the world who manufacture vinyl jukeboxes now.

We are going to feature Chris and his team in a forthcoming edition of TopicUK, so you will be able to read for yourselves about this great business.

I’m also looking forward to meeting David from a local Chocolate Company this week. David teaches individuals how to make chocolate and visits countries all over the world to source the best cocoa beans. He will feature in a forthcoming edition of Urban Market.

It’s then down to London to TileYard Studio’s to chat with the team there about Rutland Mills, a site they have just acquired in Wakefield and gained planning permission to turn into a sister venue to TileYard in Kings Cross.

Finally closing the week will be a trip to Penny Appeal, the humanitarian charity in Wakefield, to show Andrea Jenkyns MP around this most impressive charity before the chairman and I will head off to a Morley and Outwood Business Association Meeting, a group set up by Andrea when she was elected almost three years ago.

Don’t forget to drop me a line: editor@topicuk.co.uk or editor@urbanmarket.uk if you have a story to share with us.
